Ray of Hope In a Tunnel

RAY OF HOPE IN TUNNEL
The sun behind the charcoal cloud pierces a hole Light streaks of the tunnel strike the forest canopy Layers of leaves hold them in fraction not the whole Make the trunks of the cold trees warm and happy. The foliage splits the rays in tangled tunnels bright Furrows flashing patterns on the gloomy ground The forest regains its tunnel vision lost in the night To mark the lighted pathways to the world around. You go outside the forest under the open sky clear The Illuminated life shines in the splendor of the sun Unshrouded sight reaches the distant and the near With your open mind carried by untunneled vision. When despair drives dark clouds in your stormy day Gloomy life makes for the mind a narrow channel to run Look through the bright hole in the cloud of dismay The ray of hope will illumine the tunnel of your vision.

Congratulations on your win in my contest. I enjoyed the 'unusual' take on what the tunnels of life have to offer us. Many kind wishes, Kai
