Raw Wounds

The wound is still raw, but healing fast
There is no way of forgeting the past
Forgiveness is given but cracks are there
What once glowed is now a blinding glare

It's not just love, it's war and life
Choices leading to pain and strife
Sometimes, rarely we can get it right
But often its the same, night after night
