Raven
I see Raven has come to the graveyard
To gloat on her Realm of the Dead
Beautiful death bird
Posture defiant
Ready to expand on her soul cache
Ready to do her bad deeds
Poets and painters and musicians
All lie there
A treasure trove of sound, magic and line
Michelangelo, John Donne and Da Vinci
Joined by Milton and Shakespeare and Keats.
She is greedy - our raven - a philistine
She wants all that talent and genius
To feed her own beauty - surreal
To make her the Goddess of the Dead World
Where she would be praised as it's queen.
