Rapturous In Song

He sang in joyous, full refrain
Rapturous in song,
Happy he, with life itself
I longed to sing along.

I was lost within his sweet, sweet tune
Enraptured by his glee,
Briefly life was blissful
As the robin sang for me.

His world, uncomplicated
A happier soul than I.
Oh how I envied him,
As he took to the sky.

Gary, such joyous expression in you lovey and lively imagery. Like you, I love birds and their songs. Wouldn't it be nice though, if we could take to the skies and leave all our problems behind..? I love the emotion in your last stanza.. A beautiful poem! Warmest wishes.. ~Susan
