Ransom Paid Beyond My Worth

Because of the blood
Because of the tree,
Because of his grace
I have been set free.

Ransom paid beyond
My worth. Trapped in
A human body here on
Earth.

Two thousand years ago
For you and me. He bore
my sins on Calvary.

Ransom paid beyond my
Worth. God’s only begotten
Son, pure and holy from birth.

He paid the price once and
For all, so bold and free on
His name I can call.

Indeed, the "Ransom paid" was an enormous sacrifice on behalf of all who are trapped in "human bodies." Like the concept of that because the soul, unlike the body, is free of earthly confines. Great poem, Abraham.
