Random Woman's "amen"

Random woman’s “Amen” in the hall. She whispered Amen to the unknown. Not like the irrelevant chants within congregation. Nor was it to gain another’s approval. It was barely audible, yet mighty enough to move my soul. It was the kind Amen that actually made it to heaven. God would grin from its genuine sincerity. The Amen was a synopsis of all her struggles and gratitude. The winds gave way for such beauty. I felt like a blessed thief stealing the moment within the corner of the almost desolate room. The word, the sincerity, the tranquility within her “amen” did something that day. Dam they don’t make em like that anymore. .....Amen...... only if you knew

Twas poetic scripture when she spoke, the more she said, the less we broke, entitled us to hear once more, the lessons learned from long before. My grandmother used to re-tell fables in her parlor chair. I can still hear her voice. Many thanks for allowing us to read your mind.-Always Alexandra
