Random Thoughts On the Humdrum

I have wondered about mundane things Would they have become spectacular, Noteworthy, perchance, balls of strings If given purpose, a splendid piacular? Not everything is special and/or pristine. Actually, most things are commonplace Not everything is a finely-tuned machine Like the works behind the watch’s face. So much of life, I think, is run-of-the-mill Which accounts for same ‘ol, same ‘ol. I am inclined to believe boredom relates To an impetus to achieve a desired goal It’s not good to leave life to the fates.

"Actually, most things are commonplace" - they truly are; if we were honest.

I think so. It should be our goal to make the commonplace special in our lives, to be thankful for what is.

I agree Milton. Taking some risk in life are worth taking. I have taken many. Most good. Enjoyed reading.

I'm with you, Tom. Neither do I. I've done a few things I'm not proud of, but I've always tried to do my best. That's enough for anyone!

I don't believe I could leave my life in the hands of fate if I tried. Now THAT would be sadly uncaring and mundane of me!

My motto has long been, "Go For It!" If it flops, oh well. If it is a rousing success, bask in it. But, FGS, go for it!
