Random Thoughts In a Quiet Moment.

To newlyweds just starting out,
live long and learn what love's about.
To those whose time is winding down,
embrace the smile, dismiss the frown.
To those who watch in weary wait,
eyes open wide decide your fate.
To those who work and toil each day,
grasp fleeting chance to get away.
For those against whom lies are hurled,
Give not one inch to gossips' swirl.
For forlorn few still left to weep,
May heaven hold you while you sleep.
For ones who long for love and miss,
this time you'll know one tender kiss.
For mothers who will soon give birth:
God bless you both. Renew the earth.

This is lovely, Gerard. It seems that we are both moved to uplift and exhort one another today! Donna

I thought "For those against whom lies are hurled, / Give not one inch to gossips' swirl." was good until I read the next line of the "forlorn few" I'll drink to those "still left to weep". Down our troubles and wash away the bitter with the burning bitter water. The buzz tells you all is forgiven. Why do I feel like drinking when I read your stuff...Keep on writing, Gerard. I still have half a bottle.
