Raising Our Children In Our World Today

For those first few months they only sleep, eat, and play. Watching them slumber as the times passes hours. Wanting to snuggle them throughout the day. Love and affection we constantly shower. Hoping they can feel our strength and power. Asking for good health and happiness as we pray. Wanting to slow down the passing hours. Raising our children in our world today. Teenage years are unbearable at times. Constant worrying of what they do. Sorting through their messages in their chimes. Wondering if they are happy or angry at you. Hands in the air not sure what to do. But adolescent years are also fun to play. As they grow into their independence and confidence, too. Raising our children in our world today. Adulthood is challenging and rewarding at best. Maintaining sanity in work and human connections. Being put through many demanding tests. Sharing their deepest and heartfelt affections. Wondering if they are mirroring their reflections. Watching their own children and what they say. Dotting all the dots and making the connections. Raising our children in our world today. It’s a tough world we mingle in now. Raising our children to make their own way. Wondering if they will ever learn how. Raising our children in our world today.
