Rainy Twilight

Drowsy car rides no destination
Blaring music lack determination
The glowing lights passing by
Miles and miles as we drive

Wrapped in blankets with soft hums
Jaws popping while chewing gum
Lazy Monday whiles it's rainy
Our smiles are forever gravely

And soon the moon rises high
Blocked by grays in the sky
And as we pass route 64
I want to stay here forever more

You conjured images of those long trips imprisoned in the back seat of my parents car I experienced as a child. :)
