Notes About The Poem

Broken down car in a town about 600km from home one night with my girl, in the rain, no accommodation, it was beautiful. It was all so beautiful.

Rainy Street Lamp

She kisses my shoulder
As my fingers braise her hair.
She smiles to my eyes
And my mind begins to yell…
Kiss her lips,
Hug her hips,
Become a light
That glows tonight.
Feel the bridge above
Leading to a place of love
That calls our names in this rain tonight.
