Rainy Day
Yesterday the weather was just fine.
The hours went by from one to nine.
Today is a stormy rainy day
And everything is going the wrong way.
I feel miserable and cold.
“ Cheer up and smile” I’ve been told.
It doesn’t make me feel better,
Not even when writing a letter.
I tried to fake a smile,
It doesn’t work for a while.
Why must it be a day like this?
Because of a loved one I miss?
Why when I see him tonight,
I have to concentrate with all my might.
If only the sun would shine,
Now would be the right time.
