*After smoking for nealy fifty years, I finally gave it up in May of 2024.

Leaning on a lampposts pole
Cigarette in hand
I only smoke when I'm down
I'll smoke any brand
Okay, this is it!
No more cigarettes for me
Time for me to quit!

Good thing, Charles. Cigarettes could be deadly.

Good write, Charles. What worked? Patches? I was one of those stupid teenagers that stole her Mom's 'Taringtons' (rather fight than switch. Such enticing commercials when we were wee) and have struggled since. So glad you made it to the other side where you realize how much they truly stink and much else. APPLAUSE ... CayCay
