Rainbows In Our Lives

Appearing one day in a forlorn sky,
came two comely rainbows for us to see.
While holding dear their friendship,
and inquiring not why, *
as our "pots of gold" they came to be.
In prayer for them, we dared not hesitate,
as through the years, we watched them grow.
Also, betwixt the two,
there came no time we'd separate,
in the affection we've attempted to show.
Girls, closely bound, throughout youthful days,
emerging, as young ladies, so refined.
Lanterns to others, in all their ways,
Giving light, love and friendship to us,
and to those in need they find.
