Rainbows and Gold
Rainbows and Gold
I Wish I Could Have Known You
Way Back at the Very Start
Before I Knew the Things I Know
Concerning Affairs of the Heart
I've Went Through Lots of Trials
And Rough Spots in the Road
Trying to Capture Rainbows
But I've Never Found Any Gold
No Wonder I Never Found it
I Had Never Met You
The Country's Full of People
And Ones like You Are Too Few
You're a Treasure Beyond Compare
And Not Any Amount of Gold
Is Worth a Penny More than You
You Can Believe this Story I've Told
Rainbows and Gold Don't Buy Love
They Both Can Be Bought and Sold
But Love, My Dear Lasts Forever
It Keeps You Alive When You're Old
