Rain, Sun, Maybe None
I’ve seen sun
And I’ve seen rain
The symbol of fun
And the symbol of pain
Mighty, but lightly,
It shines on those below
A symbol of a new chance
Perhaps I’d love it so
Gloomy clouds then loom around
Restless in the sky
And then with a booming sound
The clouds begin to cry
The sun, a great light!
Teases others down below
It shines off just to spite
Those who do not glow
The water dissolves all harm
For those who dance in it
From every mother’s arm
A child's spark is lit
‘There can be no sun
If there is no rain’
…But why not? They’re nature, not emotions
I can see them just the same
