Rain On Dirt

Listen to poem:
Rain on Dirt By David J Walker I hope heaven smells like Rain on dirt She said And in my head was released Memories of freshness Rain and dirt Mixing mud Making new life As it was “In the Beginning” A scent that fills the Senses With the closeness of heaven Telling its own version Of the conversion of Dust into life

Touching thoughts.... Truly a wonderous little piece, David. Clinched concepts, but necessary to translate the point easily. It's definitely a tangible concept.

Thank you for your insites. And congratulations for the 2020 Fresher Writing Prize. I've hd a chance to read through some of your work this morning, enjoying all of what I quickly read. I will read more. I think David Flavoured was my favorite. I love it when words bring life to its subject.
