Rain

RAIN
Misty rain is falling 'round Upon my head, a dewy crown I watch the rain bounce from the grass It's roots devour the liquid mass A soft breeze flows through yonder trees I imagine all the things it sees Like a bird on the wing It gets to see most everything The thunder roars it's warning voice I know that I must make a choice Do I hide from the pouring rain Or let it wash away my pain I came out here alone today To send my demons off to play So I think I'll stand my ground While the rain is falling 'round. Good vivid descriptive of rain expression and along with the rhyme. Enjoyed immensely.

A beautiful poem to read on a rainy day down here in Texas. :) There is a hint of sadness but a certain strength to this poem. Nicely done my friend.

Thank You Chris, as always, your feedback is important. You seem to sense the emotion from my work that others do not notice. I was enjoying nature while cleansing my soul in the rain.
