Rain
RAIN
To quench the thirst of this blazing earth,
The doors of heavens opened and inhabitants of earth celebrated their rebirth.
In thousands radiant, sparkling rain drops poured
While the dark sky above did roared.
Trees, plants & herbs radiated their lush green colour dark
Tiny ants and insects took shelter in its wet bark.
Lightning, thunderstorms, like trumpet blew
Welcoming the new world and giving the scorching heat adieu.
Birds made merry and created veritable bedlam
Water filled in rivers, seas and dams.
It fell and swept the dust of this dusty earth
Fell like cleaning the sin of this heinous world.
And suddenly sun appeared from behind the dark clouds
Rain now slowed down, termites and ants left their mounds.
Rain drops like tiny prisms
Glorious and marvelous of all seasons,
Proliferated by sun light
Made a kaleidioscope of light,
Up above in the sky, God blessed us from that height
Like seven stars and seven ages, heaven blessed us with seven divine lights
Stretching from east to west encircling the entire globe the raindrop displayed its
might.
Rain came and blessed us with its showers
Blessed us with its divine drops, which fell on this thirsty earth and scented like
sweet flowers.
To quench the thirst of this blazing earth
Rain came and cooled the burning hearth.
