Rain

Some claim to be seers
To discern that the rain
Is God’s own tears
Of joy or even pain

They judge by the flood
To know that it was His wrath
Or it was the nourishment of flesh and blood
When rain waters the fruit of the earth

Rain feeds the rivers of the world’s ambience
And the beauty of inspiration
That articulates the poetry of my conscience
Into a realm where it evokes sensation

Whether fall or shower
God has healed our soils
And in His own power
He Has Blessed our toils
