Rain

Soft wet droplets refresh my dull senses:
as the soaking overcast drives me insane
with the sweet faint fragrance of champagne
and the continuing pelting drenching rain
by the sea shore and dry open plain

The imagery jumps from the page and pulled me right into the scene, I feel the emotion and welcome the drenching rain. Seldom am I so drawn. The greatest compliment to any poet is the recognition they have created something special and the frustration of other poets that arises from the fact they did not write it! Mac
