Jerry Brotherton Poet Rhyme

Rain

I’ve found that too many people
remind me of a summer rain
Quickly blowing into my life
and then rolling away again

In the beginning, they may seem
refreshing, exciting, and new
But they leave me wet and miserable
after the clouds have passed on through

That is my main gripe with Facebook, etc. People collect friends by the thousands yet never talk to any of them. I believe it is better to have 10 good friends than a thousand bad ones.
