Rain
Rain
Pitter patter, pitter patter,
Hear the rain.
Hear the song, hear it sing.
Till the world with music rings;
Hear the rain.
Pitter patter, pitter patter,
Gift from God;
Cooling, healing and refreshing,
On dry sod.
Pitter patter, pitter patter,
Softly quickly;
Then it breaks in mighty thunder.
Roaring, booming guns of plunder;
Then comes the rain!
Pitter patter, pitter patter,
Little silver tears from Heaven;
Ever flowing, ever gentle,
Lovely rain!
