Rage and Decay Hold Sway Over All
Rage and decay hold sway over all
Nothing becomes of these weak expressions.
The gods so unmerciful, the axe to fall.
For every misconstrued perception,
Or reason for some retribution;
Rage and decay hold sway over all.
It takes so little to get our attention,
The slightest slight we sling aggression.
The gods so unmerciful, the axe to fall.
In bloom the age of misdirection,
The shame of facing failed instruction.
Rage and decay hold sway over all.
The gods deserve none of our affection.
They ignore our prayers for supplication.
Those gods so unmerciful, the axe to fall.
At the peak of our final exhalation
We see with horrid recognition
That rage and decay held sway over all.
The gods so unmerciful. The axe falls.
