Radiance
Beloved,
I whisper your name in the stillness of prayer,
A blessing of light through the cool evening air.
So proud of us both, for the fire we’ve walked through,
For the love that stayed steady when skies were not blue.
Your soul has awakened like stars breaking free,
A quiet rebellion of who you’re meant to be.
The struggles that visit, then fade like the rain,
Have carved you to wisdom, each tear was not vain,
But turned into treasure in God’s loving sight.
You walk now with God as His cherished delight,
Your heart wide and open, your spirit alight.
You carry yourself with a gentle command,
Soft strength in your voice, healing grace in your hand.
More radiant, more lovely than words can confess,
The girl I first saw pales beside who you are now,
A woman of purpose, of depth, of caress,
Whose kindness can calm every storm in my chest.
Your beauty runs deeper than eyes can behold,
It glows from the spirit you’ve dared to unfold.
Each scar tells a story of courage and light,
And I fall even harder for you every night.
May angels keep watch as you travel this road,
May peace be your companion, may joy overflow.
I’m endlessly grateful to witness your rise,
Forever your lover, forever surprised
By the miracle blooming in you, my dear heart,
Bound soul to soul in grace, eternally one.
