Racism and Violence-Black and White
More death and destruction, we now see first-hand.
Minneapolis is on fire because of one damn man.
When you treat people like animals, that’s how they will act.
Respect needs to be given and this my friends is a fact.
What can we do? When will peace be restored?
Civilization has been rattled because of one man scorned.
The state police take up position along with the national guard.
Man has made his decision and will forever be scarred.
We have gone back in time instead of moving forward.
Black and White again clash in a chaotic disorder.
Downtown is on fire and violence takes hold.
We all need God’s help as this evil unfolds.
I have been told I am racist because I see humans and not skin.
If this is so wrong, then where do I begin?
All life needs respect, this starts right here with me.
I control how I act, maybe this is the key.
*Dedicated to George Floyd*
