Race Against Time
Other needs are cast aside;
Phone calls unreturned.
Invitations all denied;
Friends become concerned.
Two weeks’ time is not enough;
I’ll never get it done.
Guess I’m just not up to snuff,
But then, is anyone?
Three times longer than the rest,
Too wanted to renew;
I’m loving it, but I am stressed –
My library book is due!
