Quietude

Listen. Can you hear it? Stay still.
Deep silence you will hear.
Watch sun sliding behind the hill.
Can you feel God is near?

This is my spirit’s food;
with peace I am imbued
in lovely quietude.

As sun’s last rays glisten,
can you hear it? Listen.
