Quietly grow

Penny
Pennies
Into pounds
Cost of living
Breaking down

Digging
Chipping
Gritty climb
I'll come out on top
I'll work
I'll grind

Sometimes short
But never without
Thirsty commitment
 dampens this drought

Drip by drip
Collect the flow
Cup almost full
But don't let them know .

Dear Julianne, Your poem deeply touches me with its raw portrayal of perseverance and resilience. Through each line, you vividly capture the incremental progress and unwavering determination needed to weather life's challenges. The imagery of pennies into pounds reflects the quiet accumulation of strength and endurance. Your words inspire us to keep pushing forward, even in the face of adversity. Very insightful, Poem. - Blessings, Daniel
