Quiet Silence
In faded shades of shadows gone.
Is where a broken heart lives on.
To suffer silent dreams alone.
Existing where no love is known.
A search beyond what can't be found.
A hope that futilely is bound.
An endless prayer that's never heard.
A conclusive sense that's too absurd.
With each new line the past is staged.
And written down as if it's caged.
How and why never agree.
For where and when will never see.
It's not the same as story book tales.
For some of us when romance fails.
The pages turn with no one reading.
The story's sad, but no heart's bleeding.
Where does the answer lie within.
The loser asks, wanting to win.
Trying to go back in time.
With every phrase of useless rhyme.
