Quiet Place

when it gets to be to much
i just have to go away
the noise is screaming
way to loud
i can't think beyond my head
i take myself to a quiet place
where no one else can go
it's ever so peaceful
i go to places that take
me beyond all that's
going on
i float, i glide
i just enjoy the ride
just thinking about my
quiet place almost takes me there

Linda, Thank you for your comments on my poem. I can't believe they picked that one to feature. My brother who was 49 years old died tragically last Wednesday morning. The noise is definitely screaming way to loud right now and I would love to get away to a quiet place. Jerri

Thanks so much for commenting on my blog. What you said touched me deeply. I wish I had known of people like you, I too had trials like the children you help and no one ever explained to me, Ohso many things! The hesitancy to speak of the issues caused & continues to life long issues. BUT, I became a healing helper and have channeled the empathy I have for the good. I have many verses here about this subject..abuse & gender issues. Perhaps you'd read The Body & the Blood. Light & Love
