Questions Unanswered

Have you dreamed of solitude?
Given way to the darkness inside?
Was your core ever in feud
over who it is that lied?

Has the mirror ever reflected two?
Were you confused between night and day?
To where is it that time flew?
Can a soul’s course be this grey?

Is the mind so unrelenting
that a spirit can torture itself?
Can society be so unforgiving
that split people are put on a shelf?

Being different is okay
as long as it means being sane?
Why does the world shy away
from anything that causes pain?
How does it live in cloudless day
when beauty lies in the night and rain?
