Questions Part 99

Does joy lift our spirits high, when someone else’s hopes take flight?
When another feels the warm embrace of love, do we reflect the glimmer of their sweet, sweet light?
Can we hold the mirror firm and steady, so that they may always enjoy the wondrous sight?

Do we know when they lie awake, crying softly, deep into the night?
Can we lift them up swiftly and gently, in the midst of their fearful plight?
Will we be their shield and guide their sword; dare we stand alongside them as they fight the good fight?

This is surely the essence of love; to share both the dark as well as the light
Neither one nor the other, only both, make it right
