Questions of Life

Father, can you tell me,
why was my fate
oh so deadly,

Daddy, can you explain
why I cringe every time
I hear your name,

Mother do you hear me
I screamed for you to believe me
how dare you deceive me

Mommy I lost my childhood
where did it go?
I asked daddy,
but he said no one could know

God where can I find you
my burdens heavy
and it could blind you

Jesus, my life is a mess
I am a rabid dog, at best
where can I rest?

For my heart
wants to stop beating
and my wrists
wish to start bleeding
but my friends,
my angels said I can't give in
for if I did, my family would win
