Questioning Fear

Why do I even try if all I do is lie?

Is it wrong to squander a life?
Is it wrong to shrivel up, consumed by strife

I see the faces of those I counted on
I remember them, but I’m already gone

Maybe it’s time to enter the beast, kill or be killed, the fighting does not cease
