Questioning

Not a lot was said to put it all to an end
I hate that I hurt you or that I let you go
I lie awake and wonder if I did the right thing
In my heart I know it’s better this way

None of it was meant to hurt you
We’re better off this way
We went as long as we could
Sometimes I wonder if there really is a soul mate for everyone

Now I think everyone believes it was over for different reasons
But in our hearts we know the answers
I’m opinionated and a lot to handle
Maybe some day there will be a guy willing to accept that challenge
For now, I’m going to be content with what I have in my life
