Queen of Day - Qd

I only saw it once this Queen of Day
'Twas long ago but never forgot
Ah, that time was in the month of May
After the cold and before the hot

While millions of men roamed this fair land
One girl with blue eyes and golden hair
Could have her pick of most any man
On this Queen of Day I could but stare

Birds sang, roses bloomed as she chose me
