Queen and Slim

I love you he said
I love you so much I'm never letting go
You can't share a love you haven't given to yourself yet
So, I dug up the dead pieces of my heart and replanted them
Love is the only true form of justice, everything else is just a paper copy
And within these printer mouths comes
Assumptions that move faster than bullets
Opinions that bleed more than bullet wounds
Prideful persons pulling triggers like they're picking filters
We live in a shoot first society, with dead beat apologies
So, I figured I might as well shoot my shot, without knowing that the red beam behind me wasn't from cupid
Renegades running for some time now but not from fear
Aiming toward change, because social agendas fire at the truth
Social schedules would have you believe freedom is a symbol
One that flows like winds on a cool fall day under wings
The wind moving through her hair like my fingers
But the wind that helps a so-called symbol stand
Is the same breeze that supports a flag assassinating what it doesn't understand
So, the only thing I comprehend is one of my wings comes from you
The worlds idea of freedom lives in a cage that travels like a circus
Just so you start to believe that your surroundings have changed
Why is positive change less common than pistols
I think guns were born from fear, that's why it makes them nervous while pointing it at someone
Shooting periods and exclamations at nouns simply wanting to survive
Protection is just an excuse for the trigger finger to smile, yelling expletives (gun sound)
Are you starting to get the picture
No, well come here, let's take a picture
A photo that goes beyond hate and gives people an opportunity to see the soul that fills the pitcher
A real thirst quencher they choose to ignore until inconvenience wants a drink
The world will still have the same stains no matter the era, progression, or geography
So why not add more love to the discography
History always repeats, so I rather make it consecutive with you
Making moments into years of memories from Monday's spent with you
We need more love in the world, right? Can I start by sharing with you
I know our eyes just met but true love breathes like a waterfall
True love is when the pitcher is full but doesn't stop pouring
And,
Black love has an undeniable glow
Black love builds empires, and they don't want another Rome
In turn they'll say: stay green while planting lies to sow deceit
So, if I must die from cracked concrete
Ima die, not just for you, but for we
Death comes no matter what, but loves leaves legacy
The casket closes its eyes, but they'll still see
Through the black evanescence we showed the world a heart can still be married into the last name eternity
They'll shoot physical bodies, but they'll never kill the divine
Our love is lyrical, our love is academical, our love is spherical, but most of all spiritual
These words from him kept repeating as she let his spirit go
The tears flowed, into the puddles of blood so much so
The red became diluted by sadness, anger, revenge, and forgiveness all at the same time
She cries hold my hand one more time
Then she feels a transparent squeeze reminding her of his smile so kind
p.s. she chokes on I wasn't ready to let go...
