Quaint Treasure Trove

An ivory castle of delightful dreams that holds on the memories of lost love. A token of remembrance, a golden requiem that is built on the wings of a mourning dove. Taj Mahal for all lovers a quaint treasure trove. Date: 06/13/2017 Note: For the contest (Form - Q) by Broken Wings. *Placed Third* The Taj Mahal meaning Crown of the Palace is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna river in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan to house the tomb of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It is an Embodiment of their legendary love and described by Noble Laureate - Rabindranath Tagore as "the teardrop on the cheek of time."

The Taj Mahal represents the Love Story of Love Stories. It's a pity it had a dark side as an aftermath for the builders. That being aside your poem is a monument in itself to this edifice built for another 'SHE'. All the best with the contest...Maria PS My poem of the same name honors all the 'SHE's' of the world - hope you have a chance to read and enjoy the music.
