Purple Patch
PURPLE PATCH
I’m going through a purple patch;
All that I touch turns to gold.
My opponents are green with envy,
Even though I’m grey and old.
Please excuse my colourful language,
But I’m really in the pink.
If this purple patch continues,
I’ll win this contest I think.
