Purple Dusk

reverse a day
but I love dusk
the purple quite settles around
to quiet and we come
home
to icy footsteps and frozen fields
I stand waiting
to trade boots for flip flops and lay in the grass
and let the purple
decend
to earth

i really loved this poem probably because im more of a sunset watcher than a sunrise watcher i liked the opening line and i liked how you did not make the title a line in the body. =)

Lovely imagery, loved the insight and the ending...Raul
