Purple Divided

What color is America? Is it Red? Is it Blue? Tell me brother, What color is Love? Could it be one or the other? Am I Blue, When I sing the National Anthem? Or, Am I Red? Am I Blue, When I help a brotha, Who lost his job, And can't find anotha? Am I Red, When disaster strikes, And help a brotha in a bind? There was once a man. He had a dream. Most thought, It was a dream to good, Too ever be true. He dreamed of an America, That was color blind. Tell me sister, What color is Love? Is it Red? Or Is it Blue?

I really get your point. It's hard to accept but so easy to understand you know to get that in America we are divided along racial, ethnic, religious, cultural and color lines...most say accept it that's just the way it is. I see America differently though I see 'us' getting over race, class, color, creed, religion and really uniting. All of us men, women, children and babies.
