Purple Bruise

I suppose you heard the news
My woman gave me an ugly purple bruise
I cant begin to see
Why she hauled off and hit me

Could it be I drank too much
And spent all our money on women, gambling and such
It seems she has developed a very closed mind
And has forgotten how to be kind
