Purgatory Park

Shadow man where are you

The sun has set for the day

Tell me why have you ran away

Why are you not treading with me

Had for just forgotten all about me

Or are you just scared of the dark

Will you join me in the park

Walk with me tonight please

All I can see is a breeze

Have you started a game of hind and seek

Perhaps in the lake is where you reside

Why are you not by my side

I searched all night the sunshine has came up

But no sight of my transparent friend

Have you chosen to call this the end

As I look down the side of the bridge

You stand near my reflection right by the ridge

The reflection I see had embraced the dark

My spirit drifts to join them down near the bridge

At the lighter side of the purgatory park

Try to find the right form for your poems, I know it could be hard, but if you for instance take your end rhymes (aa bb cc dd) and google it, I bet you can find the right form :) That said: you have written a beautiful poem, so full of loss, sadness and longing... Take care!
