Purest Intentions

I am ashamed to look at You,
For I have been constantly hurting You.
I am not someone You can be proud of,
Nor am I the faithful servant You can be sure of,
For I don't have the purest heart,
The vicious cycles of sins kept You and I far apart.

But even if I am not yet the pure and simple woman
You want me to be,
The purest intentions are still inside of me.

I have the purest intention when out of the blue, I will call on You,
For I really am scared that's why to You I suddenly prayed.

I have the purest intention when I say 'I need You',
For in my heart I'm certain that
No one else can save me, but You.

I have the purest intention when I ask Your forgiveness,
For sinners like me needs so much of Your kindness.

I have the purest intention when I ask You
Not to give up on me,
For I really want You, to stay with me, and not leave me.

I have the purest intention whenever 'I say I love You'
For something deep within me
Longs so much to show You, that I really do.
