Puppet Dance

There is a moment When everything aligns The chaos connects And dots fill with lines The hungry gets happy before it gets full The storm magnifies Before it falls to a lull Imagine you are floating Alone and unknown When a dragonfly who wants to dry lands on your toe Look into its eyes As it stares into yours In a sweet moment you are one And then away it goes It’s all part of the flow We’re here then we’re gone We reach then we retreat I don’t know what I want when the world tastes so sweet There’s a careless perfection In the inner workings of creation, destruction There’s a sturdy balance lifts us, drops us Yet we always remain in the air Sometimes we seem to be held up by strings A careful dance of the marionettes We sway with the thought That our clever movements are so creative So innovative How easy it is to ignore When you are the puppet How easy it is to overlook When you are the puppeteer
