Pubbery

Propping up their drooping
Posture on dizzy stools,
Parched lips overly pleased, 
Pockets drained of money,
Prisoners of excess 
Pander to last resort:
Phew! Pop goes the weasel.*

[*An expression describing the spending of all your money on drink
 in the pub and subsequently pawning your suit to raise some more.]

I enjoy a few drinks, but with the smaller crowd, in the comfort of my own home. Best of luck on the contest. PS. I've heard "pop goes the weasel" all my life but I never knew what it meant (I always assumed it was some kind of innuendo, but apparently not).
