Psalm 3

So many seeking to attack me
telling lies of my spiritual state
saying there's no hope in God
showing their hatred to me berate

But God the one I will look to
who lifts me up my constant shield
so I can lie down to sleep
for the Lord sustains as I appealed

So I'll not fear the numbers there
no matter against me they're set
for thy word will arise to save
the enemies He'll defeat even yet

God's salvation belongs to Him alone
He sends it forth to bless His own
to conquer all our enemies He will
making all peoples quiet and so still

(PSALM 3 (ESV)

O Lord, how many are my foes!
   Many are rising against me;
many are saying of my soul,
   there is no salvation for him in God.
But you, O Lord, are a shield about me,
   my glory, and the lifter of my head.
I cried aloud to the Lord,
   and he answered me from his holy hill.
I lay down and slept;
   I woke again, for the Lord sustained me.
I will not be afraid of many thousands of people
   who have set themselves against me all around.
Arise, O Lord!
   Save me, O my God!
For you strike all my enemies on the cheek;
   you break the teeth of the wicked.
Salvation belongs to the Lord;
   your blessing be on your people!)

Gordon, I have experienced this, it's not easy, and heartbreaking, but the love I have in God he held me through it.....the Lord knows our intentions, he sees underneath the mess...ppl will make preconceived notions, and make assumptions all the time, without knowing the depth of the heart, or the real struggle God passes around a mirror to see for ourselves and others the truth..and for some it's hard to face, and takes time, but it's his way of bringing us closer to him,,,,blessings :)
