Hello Brian Yes, a hard thing indeed. I know what it's like to have to watch a loved one suffer through cancer until the pains unbarable and so I believe in the right of the patient to choose their own fate. Either way, it ends in tears. Sometimes I think we are more humane to our animals than we are to ourselves. Well, leave it to me to be painfully honest. Thanks Brian, sure gives much needed food for thought. Thanks for the sports out of sight explanation Brian. This indeed is a controversial subject, and I think no matter what, your poem answers itself. That it will end in tears, either way. Like Christopher, hope I never have to even consider such a decision. Love, Shar

I heard quite a discussion on the car radio this morning (BBC). Such a difficult, controversial subject. Your poem is ideal, considering the subject matter! ~ With regards, Carrie
