Protecting the Small How do people in power rise, when all they are talking about, is against everything that can be remembered… taught in school? How can people hold high office, while the people, the poor around them, sink ever lower into the embrace of death. Poverty, and poor houses, living on the streets, “stay at home moms” a thing of the past. Now lucky to hold our families together, at all! What can be said, for living in your car? The rain is not on your head, or covering and freezing your feet. I would call to their empathy, their sympathy, their idealism, of perfection. I would remind them, that I had a job, I had a wife, I had family and a life. Now, I only have… a vote, and you talk of cheating me still. How do people in power rise?

I truly do wonder why people who rise have to have so much money to do it. Some have a difficult time relating to us regular folks who have to earn a living. Nice one,Ann.

Well, in 1775, William Pitt said: 'Patriotism is the last refuge of scoundrels.' I would substitute politics for patriotism now, in 2019!! ~ gw
